Grandmother and Grandfather

Two sacred trees, called Grandmother and Grandfather, stand in the grounds of the southernmost Buddhist temple of Khong Island in Laos. Old and majestic, they watch over the inhabitants, separated by a few meters but intimately linked.

Grandmother, generous, shares her wisdom through the vines and plants that surround her. Each time you visit, she wraps you in a gentle embrace, soothing hearts and nourishing souls.

Grandfather, imposing and protective, offers thick bark with healing properties. Scratch the bark, apply it to your pain, and the tree will offer its healing.
